Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Class A Blaster Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise in surface preparation, spray painting, brush and roller techniques, and safety compliance will be essential to delivering durable, visually appealing results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and a proactive safety mindset. Twic card required . Duties Prepare construction surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Operate various paint spraying equipment including airless sprayers, conventional spray systems, and power tools to apply coatings efficiently across different substrates. Use hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and putty knives for detailed finishing work on trim, fixtures, and intricate surfaces. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute painting tasks aligned with project specifications. Apply coatings on structural elements like drywall, stucco, masonry, concrete finishes, and metal surfaces in both renovation and new construction settings. Follow strict safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection gear and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of surface preparation and painting operations. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, drywall installers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of painting work within the overall project timeline. Experience Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Familiarity with construction estimating processes related to painting scopes of work is a plus. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise application of coatings. Hands-on experience with surface preparation techniques including plastering, caulking, drywall finishing, and restoration projects. Knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects and visual color matching in various lighting conditions. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (airless and conventional), and scaffolding or ladder use for elevated surfaces. Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction sites including respiratory protection standards and safe handling of hazardous materials. Construction site experience with a focus on quality control during coating applications; familiarity with blueprint reading is advantageous.
