Job Description
Responsibilities for the position include: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company safety procedures and required PPE. Identify and use proper materials and metals. Layout parts on tables in preparation for the painting process. Move materials as necessary using prescribed material handling techniques. May prepare and clean metals - .operations include; degreasing, derusting, phosphatizing, wheelabrating, hand and spray painting. Mix paints to proper viscosity for spraying as required by specs, fill tanks; adjust spray guns to obtain required finish, coverage, and economy; adjust pressures. Applies prepared paints Operate equipment producing quality parts while meeting efficiency standards and proper levels of working inventory. Check work using the prescribed quality procedure, record and notify the lead person of any issues, making corrections as instructed. Maintain all necessary documents such as inspection check sheets on produced parts or equipment, labor cards, or change notices. Check equipment using prescribed preventative maintenance procedures Work to eliminate non-value-added activities. Work as part of a team cross-training as needed.
