Job Description
At Sons Marine and Industrial, we handle the heavy lifting. From marine fabrications to massive industrial infrastructure, our team is known for precision, grit, and delivering top-tier structural steel work. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Painter / Loader to manage the final, critical steps of our production line: finishing the steel and getting it safely out the door. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Prep structural steel surfaces for coating by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and blasting as required. Operate industrial spray equipment (airless or conventional systems) to apply primers, epoxy coatings, and polyurethane finishes to heavy iron structures according to specifications. Rig, lift, and load finished steel components onto flatbeds and trailers using overhead cranes, hoists, and heavy-duty forklifts. Participate in our mandatory team stretching program at the start of every shift to keep the crew safe, flexible, and injury-free. Secure loads safely for transit, ensuring proper block-and-tackle, strapping, and weight distribution. Conduct quality inspections on paint thickness (DFT gauges) and coverage to ensure zero defects before shipping. What We're Looking For (Qualifications):
