Job Description

Perform preparation work prior or after painting such as grinding, sanding, buffing. For parts not painted, mask-off areas not to be painted. Fill cavities and dents as necessary and surfaces repaired area to attain required finish Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted using solvent, sandpaper and wire brush Moves painted articles from preparation area to and from paint booth Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materials Maintain clean and safe work environment Perform other tasks as assigned or approved by the supervisor Background in paint and body repair with a minimum of 1 years hands-on experience. A High School or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred. Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time. Incumbent must possess basic hand tools for the position and upgrade such tools as required to complete the tasks assigned.
