Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure surfaces are protected and durable. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional sprayers), and other hand tools. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color samples to accurately match specifications. Conduct surface inspections to ensure smooth finishes and consistent color application; perform touch-ups as needed. Use ladders and scaffolding safely to reach high or difficult areas while adhering to all safety regulations. Manage construction site painting tasks including drywall finishing, masonry painting, and renovation projects. Follow safety protocols diligently by wearing respiratory protection and using proper safety equipment during all phases of work. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial coating applications. Knowledge of construction estimating related to painting projects is a plus. Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall repair and caulking. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless spray), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong understanding of safety regulations including respiratory protection and safe ladder use. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities; experience with construction site procedures is preferred. Excellent attention to detail with an eye for color matching using visual comparison techniques. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders safely, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
