Industrial Painter Job Description This role focuses on painting and staining window frames in a clean, well-organized production environment. You will prepare surfaces, apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, and ensure all products meet quality standards while following safety guidelines and product instructions. Responsibilities Paint and stain window frames using industrial spray equipment and appropriate application techniques. Tape and mask off frames, glass, and other surfaces to protect non-painted areas and ensure clean, precise lines. Read and understand labels and instructions on all paints, stains, coatings, and related products to ensure proper use and safety. Perform paint preparation tasks, including sanding, cleaning, and surface conditioning prior to coating. Operate and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and related painting tools and equipment. Apply industrial coatings and finishes according to established specifications and quality standards. Follow standard operating procedures for blasting, coating, and finishing as required for each product. Work at designated stations aligned with specific steps in the door and window manufacturing process. Inspect painted and finished parts for quality, consistency, and adherence to production requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and timelines. Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of paints, solvents, and equipment. Essential Skills Hands-on industrial painting experience with a strong focus on spray application. Proficiency using paint sprayers and spray guns in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and fully understand labels and instructions on paints, stains, and coating products. Experience with paint preparation, including sanding, masking, and surface cleaning. Experience in industrial painting, blasting, and coating processes. Capability to work at a level 2 or 3 painter, contributing effectively with minimal training. Strong attention to detail to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes on window and door frames. Ability to follow established processes and work independently at assigned stations. Reliability to work scheduled shifts, including potential Friday and Saturday hours as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in autobody painting or similar spray painting environments is highly beneficial. Experience in large-scale manufacturing or industrial facilities is an advantage. Familiarity with paint booths and sandblasting equipment is preferred. Comfort working with multiple types of industrial coatings and finishes. Ability to adapt quickly and perform as a "plug and play" contributor with minimal ramp-up time. Why Work Here? Available shifts include Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with additional work on Fridays and Saturdays as needed. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient production, with appropriate work attire suitable for industrial painting tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
