The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets industry standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Assemble and fabricate components as needed for specific projects. Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively during the painting process. Handle materials appropriately to ensure efficient workflow and minimize waste. Perform auto body repair tasks as required, including sanding and priming surfaces before painting. Operate cranes or other lifting equipment when necessary to assist with large projects. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting or auto painting is preferred. Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities. Familiarity with hand tools and equipment commonly used in the painting industry. Ability to fabricate components as needed for specific tasks or projects. Experience with welding is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
