Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and finishes to a variety of industrial products and equipment, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by performing surface cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation in accordance with construction painting standards. Operate various hand tools, power tools, and spray guns—including airless paint sprayers and conventional spray guns to apply coatings accurately and efficiently. Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure precise application of coatings. Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection gear, adhering strictly to safety protocols during all painting activities. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other machinery to transport paints, coatings, and supplies within the facility. Conduct visual color comparisons and quality checks to ensure coatings meet specified color standards and finish requirements. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials and cleaning tools after each task. Follow safety procedures diligently during all phases of industrial painting, including construction surface preparation, coating application, and finishing processes. Assist in the maintenance of equipment such as coating spray guns, machining tools, and surface preparation devices to ensure optimal performance. Experience Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing painting environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of airless spraying systems and maintenance of equipment. Familiarity with safety protocols related to PPE use, respirator maintenance, and respiratory protection is essential. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and blueprints accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities. Mechanical knowledge related to handling power tools, airless sprayers and hand tools is beneficial. Experience working with quality standards in production environments ensures consistent application of high-quality finishes.
