Temp-to-Hire Powder Coating Experience? Put It to Work on 1st Shift. Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring a Powder Coater for a locally owned metal fabrication operation in Ashland. This is a hands-on opportunity working with fabricated metal parts throughout the powder-coating and finishing process. Depending on your experience, you may spray and apply powder coatings, prepare and hang parts, support the coating line, inspect finished products, and prepare completed orders for shipment. Experienced Powder Coaters are encouraged to apply, but we're also interested in dependable manufacturing candidates with paint-line, metal finishing, fabrication, or related experience who are ready to learn and grow. What You'll Do Apply powder coatings to fabricated metal parts using spray equipment Prepare parts for the coating and finishing process Hang and position parts on the coating line Work with team members to keep parts moving efficiently through production Monitor coating coverage and finished product quality Remove completed parts from the line Inspect finished parts for appearance and quality Handle a variety of fabricated metal components Pack completed products and prepare them for shipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow established production and safety procedures What We're Looking For Previous powder coating, industrial painting, paint-line, metal finishing, or fabrication experience is preferred Comfortable using spray equipment and working around a production coating line Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail Ability to recognize quality issues in finished products Dependable attendance and consistent work habits Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work throughout the shift Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
