Industrial Painter/Sandblaster Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter/Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces through sandblasting and applying high-quality coatings using various spray equipment. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proficiency with spray guns, including airless spray equipment and conventional air spray pots. The successful candidate will contribute to the durability and aesthetic quality of industrial components and structures. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by performing sandblasting to remove rust, old coatings, and debris, ensuring optimal adhesion of new coatings. Operate spray guns, including airless spray equipment and conventional air spray pots, to apply paint, coatings, or protective finishes evenly and efficiently. Follow safety protocols diligently, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing at all times during work. Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications to achieve desired finishes. Inspect finished work for quality standards, ensuring smooth application without runs or overspray. Maintain and clean spray equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards. Skills Proven experience in sandblasting and industrial painting processes. Proficiency in operating airless spray equipment and conventional air spray pots. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to sandblasting and painting operations. Ability to properly select and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions. Effective communication skills for teamwork and safety compliance.
