Header Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Structural Steel Painter, where you will play a vital role in transforming raw steel into durable, visually appealing structures. This energetic position involves applying high-quality coatings and finishes to steel components, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. Header Duties Prepare steel surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation techniques suitable for industrial painting and coating applications. Operate spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spraying equipment to apply primers, paints, powders, or coatings with precision. Interpret production documents such as work orders, technical specifications, and quality standards to ensure accurate application processes. Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to assemble or modify steel components as needed before painting. Handle materials safely using proper materials handling procedures while adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Conduct visual color comparisons and surface inspections to ensure coating uniformity and adherence to quality standards. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment, including powder coating booths and spray guns, to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Header Experience Proven experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or construction surface preparation for steel or metal structures. Familiarity with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, respiratory protection devices, and safety protocols in manufacturing environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications accurately. Competence with basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise coating application. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills to ensure high-quality finishes. Join us in creating durable steel structures that stand the test of time! Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 55.0 - 65.0 per week
