Job Description

Description Ron Carter, a certified Ford and Ram dealership, is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Spray-in Bedliner apprentice/Prep Technician to join our accessories team. In this entry-level role, you'll assist with the preparation and application of high-quality spray-in bedliners for new and pre-owned Ford and Ram trucks. This is a hands-on opportunity with long-term potential — perfect for someone interested in the automotive trade who takes pride in quality work and wants to grow within a professional dealership setting.
Requirements Key Responsibilities:
Clean, sand, and mask truck beds to prepare for spray-in liner application Assist experienced technicians during spray application Ensure proper material handling and protection of vehicle surfaces Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety protocols Learn dealership standards for spray-in bedliners, including thickness, texture, and quality expectations Support vehicle accessory installations as needed (e.g., tonneau covers, steps, etc.) Communicate effectively with technicians, service advisors, and management Follow OEM quality and warranty guidelines for Ford and Ram accessories
Qualifications:
No prior bedliner experience required — training provided Prior experience in detailing, paint prep, body shop work, or general automotive service is a plus Must be comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and spray equipment (training available) Strong attention to detail and work ethic Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods Valid driver's license and clean driving record required Professional appearance, punctuality, and teamwork required Willingness to learn and grow within a dealership environment
