  • Discretional bonus based on company performance Who we are looking for: Primary function of the Production Touch Up position is to coat customer product to the exact specifications of the Work Instruction either by hand and the additional use of touch up.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and follow the designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP's) and other written and/or verbal instructions. Perform hand application tasks of conformal coating in a controlled manner using methods and materials as specified in the designated processes using small hand tools, brushes/bottles, microscope and /or other support equipment in critical locations. Inspect own work for quality compliance. May inspect, disassemble, clean and/or refurbish and/or reassemble CCAs and coating fixtures. Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements when required and appropriate. Maintain a high level of punctuality and attendance. Remove/strip conformal coating from CCAs as specified in the designated processes or customer specifications. Clean/Wash/Bake CCAs as specified in the designated processes or customer specifications.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May operate precision measuring instruments and record results. May perform daily tasks in a clean room environment where compliance to clean room protocol, including PPE and hygiene standards will be required. Maintain a high level of personal hygiene. Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies. May be responsible for proper disposal, packaging, labelling, shipping or inspection of hazardous materials or waste in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Perform basic masking/demasking and inspection tasks using methods and materials as specified in the designated processes using small hand tools, microscope and /or other support equipment. May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. May complete the SCS Reading Comprehension assessment in lieu of GED. Back ground in inspection and/or quality with high level understanding of acceptable and rejectable criteria as per
IPC-A-610
Conformal Coating 10.8 preferred but not required Artistic and crafting abilities are highly desirable.
BASIC SKILLS
Must clearly speak, read and write English. Read and interpret Work instructions and drawings. Must be able to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented environment. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to communicate uncomplicated data, instructions, production results, quality issues and similar subjects both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently as well as within a group. Ability to perform basic math functions. Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time. High degree of manual hand dexterity and eye-hand coordination in order to work with fine tool (i.e Xacto knives, paint brushes, tweezers, micrometers). Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet. Ability to read at a 20/20 visual acuity using a Jaeger eye chart (near vision) with or without vision correction. Able to read No. 1 at 14" distance, or No. 2 at 20" distance, or No. 3 at 24" distance.
