Updated 08/22/2026 Job Description Job Summary Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painter to join maintenance and refurbishment team in Cedar Hill, Texas. The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing, masking, priming, and painting aircraft surfaces in accordance with manufacturer specifications, FAA regulations, and company quality standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring both the aesthetic appearance and corrosion protection of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, stripping, and corrosion removal Mask and protect sensitive aircraft components and areas not to be painted Mix and apply primers, paints, and finishes using spray equipment and other tools Interpret technical drawings, paint schemes, and work orders accurately Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, safety standards, and company procedures Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications Maintain painting equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition Follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials Collaborate with maintenance technicians and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft painting, automotive painting, or industrial coating preferred Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing, bending, and working at heights Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators Basic understanding of FAA regulations is a plus
