Pay:

$20-$23/hour, depending on experience

Night Shift Differential:

+$2/hour Signal Metal Industries is a well-established steel fabrication and machining company with over 50 years of experience. We manufacture large steel products for heavy industries throughout the country, including custom job shop and production work. We are looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our growing team. This position is responsible for preparing steel surfaces and applying industrial coatings while meeting quality, production, and safety requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Determine painting and coating requirements by reviewing specifications Prepare surfaces using masking, grit blasting, and chemical rinse methods Operate spray guns, airbrushes, stencils, and other manual painting equipment Apply industrial coating systems according to specifications and quality requirements Adjust spray equipment to achieve proper coverage and finish Monitor wet and dry film thickness requirements Troubleshoot painting and coating equipment malfunctions Perform preventive maintenance on painting and coating equipment Follow safety procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste Complete production reports and accurately record required data Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining quality standards Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of industrial painter/ coatings application experience Strong working knowledge of NACE and SSPC standards Experience with organic and inorganic zinc-enriched primers, epoxies, and urethane coating systems preferred Reliable attendance and ability to take responsibility for assigned work Ability to lift up to 50 pounds NACE certification is a plus, but not required Benefits We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
