High-End Architectural Wood Finisher / Master Spray Painter We are seeking a dedicated Wood Finisher / Spray Painter with proven expertise in high-end commercial millwork, custom retail storefronts (e.g., Starbucks, High End Retail Stores and specialty boutiques), and bespoke architectural cabinetry. This role requires mastery of professional spray booth operations, catalyzed lacquers, conversion varnishes, and custom color-matching. Key Responsibilities Application:

Operate HVLP, air-assisted airless, and cup spray setups to apply stains, sealers, clear coats, pigmented lacquers, and conversion varnishes.

Surface Prep:

Inspect raw hardwood, veneers, and millwork; execute rigorous prep including grain filling, progressive grit sanding, and defect repair.

Color Matching & Blending:

Mix and tint custom stains, glazes, and lacquers to match approved control samples and architectural specs.

Finishing Techniques:

Produce flawless, furniture-grade finishes—free of orange peel, runs, blushing, pinholes, or overspray.

Shop Maintenance:

Maintain spray booth integrity, tear down and rebuild spray guns, manage fluid tips/caps, and ensure compliant storage of solvents and VOCs. Qualifications & Filter Requirements 3+ years of professional shop experience spraying architectural millwork, luxury store fixtures, or high-end custom cabinetry (residential brush/roller painters will not be considered).

Deep product chemistry knowledge:

Hands-on experience mixing and spraying conversion varnish, 2K polyurethanes, pre-/post-catalyzed lacquers, and custom wipe/spray stains.

Equipment Mastery:

Fluency with HVLP and air-assisted airless spray rigs, pressure pots, fluid needle adjustments, and booth ventilation systems.

Sample Matching:

Proven ability to read wood grain, adjust tone through toners/shaders, and match target samples consistently across large runs.
