Job Description

Industrial Painter $15.00 - $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) RMC, a leader in world-class roller-coaster and amusement ride manufacturing, is hiring an industrial painter apprentice to prime/paint our roller coaster parts and amusement rides. The ideal candidate will be able to proficiently prep, paint and maintain all equipment used with little supervision while meeting quality standards. Will primarily apply primer and paint to all parts that come through the paint department and/or assist our primary painter in all paint shop activities.
Desired Experience:
Experience operating and maintaining Airless, Air Assisted, and Conventional spray equipment. Experience using two-component solvent-based epoxy & urethane primers and topcoats. Experience mixing, reducing, and adjusting coatings based on changing environmental conditions. Experience coating large parts at an average rate of 1-1.5 gallons per minute. NACE Certification Level 1,2, or 3 preferred. Understanding of SSPC standards for surface preparation. This department also oversees our sand blast process on site. Experience with PPG PSX700 and all Valspar Industrial finishes is a bonus.
Position Responsibilities include:
Able to prep, mask, and load booth with little to no supervision. This department is accountable for accurately priming and painting within allotted paint times with little to no supervision or rework; able to rework flaws in paint with zero errors; maintain consistent paint quality while achieving the required MIL thickness with minimal rework. All work requires the completion of all our Quality Assurance documentation to ensure adherence to our standards. Inspection of all parts before and after paint, fixing and communicating any issues to the appropriate individuals and maintenance of all booth and spray equipment.

10 hour shift Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Discretionary bonus pay. Annually the company issues bonuses based on job type, performance, and overall company profit.
