Job Summary:

Waco Metal Products is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing and applying coatings to structural steel and metal components to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation Clean, sand, grind, or blast metal surfaces to remove rust, scale, grease, and other contaminants. Mask and tape areas that do not require coating. Inspect surfaces to ensure they are properly prepared before painting. Painting Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers. Ensure proper paint thickness and even coverage according to project specifications. Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer instructions. Quality Control Inspect finished products to ensure coating quality and consistency. Touch up imperfections or missed areas as needed. Follow project requirements for coating systems and finishes. Equipment & Safety Operate and maintain paint guns, pumps, and other painting equipment. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and ventilation systems. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Experience with industrial or structural steel painting preferred. Knowledge of spray painting equipment and coating systems. Ability to read work orders and follow specifications. Strong attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.

Schedule:

Full-time position, day or night shift depending on production needs. 7am-3pm Dayshift 3pm-12am

Nightshift Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
