In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to cabinets and furniture, ensuring a flawless appearance that meets our strict quality standards. Your expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques will contribute to delivering exceptional products to our clients. This position would require you to day travel around San Antonio and be personally invited into customers homes. Duties Prepare cabinet surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and masking to ensure optimal coating adhesion Apply primer, paint, stain, or finish using conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, or powder coating equipment Interpret production documents and specifications to achieve desired color matches and finish quality Operate hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and coating spray guns safely and efficiently Maintain a clean work area and adhere strictly to safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators and protective clothing Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products against quality standards in production Handle materials carefully using appropriate handling techniques and mechanical knowledge to prevent damage Requirements Proven experience in industrial painting, coating application, or construction painting surface preparation Knowledge of powder coating processes and industrial painting techniques including spray gun operation and airless paint spraying Familiarity with manufacturing environments, quality standards in production, and interpretation of production documents Ability to use precision measuring instruments and hand tools accurately for surface finishing tasks Mechanical knowledge related to machining, auto body repair principles, and the use of power tools for surface preparation and finishing Strong adherence to safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators, respiratory protection devices, and proper handling of hazardous materials Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings and surface treatments Join us in creating beautifully finished cabinets that stand out for their quality and craftsmanship!
