In this position, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings to various industrial equipment, structures, transports, and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various painting products, application techniques, knowledge of safety procedures, and a commitment to producing high- quality work. Responsibilities  Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers according to procedures  Select and mix paints, coatings, and sealants to ensure proper application and durability for project  Apply paint and coatings using spray gun equipment, brushes, and/or rollers, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness  Maintain and clean painting equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and longevity  Ensure painting and coating schedules are being met for each project  Keen observation and Inspection of finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications  Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect yourself and others from hazardous materials and fumes Requirements  Proven experience as an industrial painter, preferably with oilfield equipment and transport tankers  Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and coating application methods for various material surfaces  Ability to interpret technical specifications for paints and coating products  Understanding of safety regulations and procedures pertaining to painting, coating, and associated materials used in the process  Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work for each project  Excellent communication and teamwork skills with both co-workers and management  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision  Training in painting and/or certification in surface coating applications is a plus  Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for
