Job Description

Job Overview New London Engineering is an Industry Leader in material handling solutions offering the industry's top conveyors. New London Engineering is a full-line conveyor system supplier specializing in engineering high-quality, quick-delivery conveyors. We are a vertically integrated company using the latest technology in our Fabrication, Paint and Assembly processes. With 50 years of experience making some of the toughest, most cost-effective, and well-designed conveyor equipment available, we're confident you'll find it a great work environment. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques. This role involves working on commercial projects, where you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring quality finishes. Responsibilities Adjusts paint and process parameters to account for atmospheric conditions (such as temperature and humidity) or coating anomalies to achieve the specified/ expected quality finish Performs daily and weekly cleaning and preventive maintenance on painting and mixing equipment and ensures that required electrical grounds and air filtration systems are monitored, logged, cleaned or replaced in order to maintain effectiveness and compliance with applicable codes. Inspect material/parts for quality conformance Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures. Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping. Work under limited oversight. Knows when to stop and ask for clarification/direction. Use of protective clothing, glasses, and other equipment Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Mix paints to achieve desired colors and consistency based on color theory principles. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Industrial Painting Experience Ability to stand/walk for entire shift Understand and read blueprints Experience with sheet metal, structural fabrication, manufacturing equipment and techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands on positive attitude Proven experience as a Painter. Experience in commercial painting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.
