This position ensures finished goods meet strict aesthetic and durability standards through precise and consistent powder application techniques. The Powder Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, operating powder coating equipment, and monitoring the curing process to achieve optimal results. This role works closely with production and quality teams to maintain workflow efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred but not required Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications Experience operating powder coating equipment in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with powder coatings and curing processes Knowledge of quality control standards related to surface finishing Certification in industrial painting or powder coating techniques Strong communication and teamwork skills Responsibilities Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and other preparation methods Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and powder booths Apply powder coatings consistently to meet quality and thickness specifications Monitor curing ovens and adjust settings as needed Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and quality standards Skills for Success Successful candidates will demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality. The ability to identify coating imperfections, follow specifications, and work effectively as part of a team is essential.
