• Description of role:
• The Industrial painter , under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor, performs a variety of duties in the sign shop. The employee is required to work as a team member. Essential functions includez; Painting of various custom sign products. Maintain inventory control of paint/supplies necessary to perform the job. Knowledhe of MSI Respiratory policy and respirator usage. \

Tasks:

Must adhere to company policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with shop and supervisory staff. Direct self toward professional growth and development by attending job related continuing education classes as deemed necessary by supervision. Recognize safety hazzards, and hazardous situations and report them to supervisor. Educate new employees on department tasks. Educate new employees on shop equipment. Work in a timely, efficient manner with other team members. Any other duties assigned by supervision. \

• \•Skills and requirements: Industrial painter.

Sign industry experience helpful but not required. Experience with HVLP spray guns. Basic computer skills. Auto body painting experience helpful. Must be able to lift 50# on a daily basis. Must be able to stand up to 8 hr a day. Must possess analytical/matamatical ability. Must possess a highschool diploma. Some college/technical school recommended. Must possess oral and written communication skills. A valid driver's license to operate company vehicles. Use of senses such as speech, hearing, and vision (ability to distinguish between colors) is necessary to perform daily tasks of the job. This role works inside the shop area of the building. The employee may be exposed to various temperatures, noises, hazards and changes in atmospheric conditions. Use of respirator, and protective clothing is required with some job tasks which is provided by the employer. This job entails pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, walking, standing, kneeling, sitting, and reaching tasks. \

• \•Work schedule: 40-45 hours/week first shift.

Monday-Friday. Some Saturdays required on heavy workload weeks. \

  This position is an FSLA-non-exempt position. The employee is paid by the hour, with over-time being paid after 40 hours of worked time
