Full-Time About Dedicated Panel Building Dedicated Panel Building is a growing industrial control panel manufacturer specializing in the design and construction of electrical control panels and automation systems. We are looking for a motivated Controls Technician to join our team and help build high-quality industrial control panels for our customers. Position Overview The Controls Technician will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial control panels . The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electrical control circuitry, can read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints, and takes pride in producing clean, accurate workmanship. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with electrical controls and wants to be part of a team building real-world industrial automation equipment. Responsibilities Build and wire industrial control panels according to electrical schematics, blueprints, and customer specifications Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and control schematics Install and wire PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, contactors, power supplies, circuit breakers, and other control components Understand and troubleshoot control circuits and electrical systems Perform point-to-point wiring and verify wiring against electrical drawings Test completed panels and assist with troubleshooting and commissioning Identify wiring errors, component issues, and design discrepancies Maintain clean, organized, and professional panel wiring and workmanship Work safely and follow company procedures and applicable electrical standards Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other team members Take ownership of assigned projects and work independently when required Assist with material preparation, panel layout, labeling, and general shop activities as needed

Qualifications Required:

Experience building or wiring industrial control panels Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints and control schematics Strong understanding of electrical control circuitry Ability to use common electrical hand tools and test equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks Ability to work effectively as part of a team Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn

Preferred:

Experience with PLCs and industrial automation Experience with 24VDC control systems Familiarity with motor controls, VFDs, relays, and instrumentation Experience with UL 508A industrial control panels Electrical or controls-related technical education Experience reading panel layouts and electrical CAD drawings Previous industrial manufacturing or automation experience What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is a self-starter and doesn't need to be told what to do every step of the way.
