  • Full-time, Internship We are located in Clearwater, Florida (Pinellas County, Tampa Bay area).
An ideal candidate must be motivated, interested, is capable of doing the work that is needed and live within 20 miles of our location. We are not considering candidates that take more than 45 minutes of drive time. We are looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer or Technician that can blend hardware, communications, & software. The candidate must have Labview (or similar) experience and some hands-on experience with electronics, mechanical, or similar, whether it is a hobby or previous work experience. CIH Equipment Company, Inc. (1993) is a metrology firm specializing in the calibration of health & safety exposure test equipment in our various laboratories including; sound and vibration, airflow, pressure, air samplers, mass-concentration (dust), particle counters, velocity, flow hoods, humidity, temperature, photonics, gas meters, torque, force, gauss, and infrared. Responsibilities include the following:
  • Work directly on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist with laboratory projects utilizing Labview and/or programming skills.
  • Assist with uncertainty budgets (error).
  • Laboratory development / SOP improvement / error propagation reduction.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned including production.
