2nd shift Core Duties Identify and resolve issues with PLC-driven production machinery to ensure seamless operations. Help maintain high equipment availability by quickly diagnosing and fixing electrical and instrumentation faults. Modify and debug industrial control components, including HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs. Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to proactively prevent automation and electrical system failures. Utilize technical manuals, ladder logic, and electrical schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities. Set up and verify the functionality of electrical panels, instrumentation, and various motor control devices. Contribute to the successful rollout of new machinery and facility-wide automation upgrades. Perform detailed root cause analysis to help eliminate recurring technical problems and improve long-term reliability. Required Skills and Experience An Associate degree or specialized certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Electrical Engineering is highly desirable. At least three years of hands-on experience working with industrial automation and control systems within a production setting. Deep understanding of industrial electrical components, such as VFDs, sensors, PLCs, and motor control hardware. Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot complex electrical control circuits and automated machinery. Practical experience working with major PLC brands like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron. Working knowledge of industrial networking protocols and advanced systems like vision, servo, and robotics.
