One of our clients is looking for a skilled Controls Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment at their North Vernon, IN facility.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and electrical equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical documentation Install, configure, and test electrical control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation devices Support new equipment installations, automation upgrades, and process improvement initiatives Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures

Qualifications:

Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred 3+ years of experience maintaining industrial controls and automation systems in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment and electrical control circuits Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi PLC platforms Familiarity with robotics, servo systems, vision systems, and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, etc.)
