Job Summary:

Valve Body Technician The Automotive Transmission Valve Body Technician is responsible for diagnosing, disassembling, inspecting, repairing, rebuilding, and testing automatic transmission valve bodies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications in a production or repair environment. Must have a Resume Monday- Thursday 7a-6p $18/hr for first 90 days and then goes to Flag Rate Key Responsibilities Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild transmission valve bodies. Diagnose transmission and valve body issues using testing and diagnostic equipment. Repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective components. Install internal transmission components such as valves, solenoids, and springs. Perform hydraulic, air-check, and electronic testing to verify functionality. Maintain repair and testing records. Ensure rebuilt units meet quality standards before shipment or installation. Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Pass background checks. Pass drug screening. Mechanical repair experience preferred. Understanding of automatic transmissions and hydraulic controls. Ability to use diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience rebuilding valve bodies or automatic transmissions. Knowledge of transmission diagnostics and electronic control systems. Familiarity with quality control and lean manufacturing practices. ASE certification or related automotive certifications. Physical & Work Environment Regular lifting of up to 50-75 pounds. Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Work performed in a shop or production environment requiring manual dexterity and precision.
