Controls Technician Job Description This direct hire opportunity seeks an individual skilled in diagnostics and repairs on DCC, Direct Digital Control Systems, and HVAC Equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills and have working knowledge of Building Automation Systems such as Trane and Honeywell. A deep understanding of HVAC equipment for both installations and troubleshooting is essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot DDC Plant and Field controllers using PCs and meters. Responsibilities Provide diagnostics and repairs on DCC and Direct Digital Control Systems. Maintain and repair HVAC equipment with a focus on Building Automation Systems like Trane and Honeywell. Troubleshoot DDC Plant and Field controllers using PCs and meters. Participate in rotating after-hours controls-related on-call duties. Handle large commercial package equipment, chillers, and water-cooled self-contained equipment. Deliver superior customer service. Work independently to complete projects safely and proficiently. Diagnose energized equipment while utilizing proper arc flash safety gear. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years combined experience within Commercial Service/Controls. Strong computer skills with knowledge of building automation systems, controls, and software. Proficient in troubleshooting and installation of HVAC equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Valid Driver's License. Universal refrigerant certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and kneel as needed. Comfortable climbing ladders and working from scissor lifts at heights.
