Amazon Web Services is seeking a Controls Technician to support Data Center Capacity Delivery. In this role, you will install, configure, and maintain building management and controls systems that support AWS data center power and cooling infrastructure. You will perform testing, inspections, and troubleshooting of PLCs, BMS, and field devices to ensure uptime, efficiency, and safety. Partnering with operations, engineering, and vendors, you'll document issues, implement improvements, and support commissioning of new capacity in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment focused on high standards and continuous learning. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain data center control and building management systems Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, BMS, sensors, and field devices to support power and cooling reliability Support commissioning, testing, and integration of new capacity and infrastructure Interpret electrical and control schematics to diagnose and resolve system issues Perform preventive maintenance and create detailed documentation of work performed Collaborate with operations, engineering, and vendors to improve system performance and uptime Required Skills PLC programming and troubleshooting Building Management Systems (BMS) SCADA and industrial controls Low-voltage control wiring Reading electrical and controls schematics HVAC and mechanical systems controls Networked control systems (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP) Preventive and corrective maintenance Data center infrastructure (power, cooling) Use of diagnostic and test equipment
