The Opportunity Telex is seeking a Distribution Field Technician (Remote) to support distribution voltage regulator and distribution control work in the Kansas City Metro and SE Kansas areas. This is a full-time, remote-based field position covering the Kansas City Metro and SE Kansas region. What You'll Do Install, program, test, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain distribution automation equipment, including voltage regulators and regulator controls, capacitor bank controls, reclosers, and related devices. Set and verify regulator control setpoints, including voltage level, bandwidth, time delay, and line drop compensation. Perform control replacements and retrofits, including wiring and functional checks. Verify SCADA/communications points and maintain accurate field documentation and as-builts. Support Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO) program work as client requirements are finalized. Preferred Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience with distribution voltage regulators, capacitor bank controls, reclosers, or similar distribution automation equipment. Experience installing, programming, and commissioning regulator controls (Eaton/Cooper CL-6/CL-7, Beckwith M-6200, SEL-2431, or similar). Proficiency in reading and interpreting one-lines, control schematics, and wiring diagrams; comfortable redlining as-builts. Familiar with SCADA integration and communications checkout (DNP3 point verification, radio/cellular). Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field with minimal supervision; valid driver's license and regional travel required. Strong safety orientation, including
