An Instrumentation Controls Technician designs/troubleshoots machine controls using PLC's, PC's, HMIs, motor drives, or other instrumentation/controls.

Responsibilities:

Develop control, data collection, and signal processing systems. Troubleshoot existing PLC's, HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers, and electronic sensors of all types. Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals. Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components. Monitor and adjust, as necessary, any equipment validating product.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years in the electrical and electronics field. Strong process control background, including temperature and pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, and lasers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout, and construction. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
