Job Summary:
Due to continued strong growth within the Data Center sector, OFS are now hiring multiple Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Technicians for a key project within the Memphis area. The E&I Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems supporting the Data Center Project. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of equipment, processes, and facilities through proactive maintenance and rapid resolution of electrical and instrumentation issues. You will work closely with operations, engineering, commissioning, and maintenance teams to support project startup, ongoing operations, and continuous improvement initiatives — all while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in motors, drives, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules Support commissioning, startup, and testing of electrical systems Instrumentation & Controls Install, calibrate, configure, and maintain process instrumentation, including pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, level instruments, control valves, and analytical equipment Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and distributed control systems (DCS) Perform loop checks, functional testing, and instrument verification activities Maintain instrument calibration records and documentation Reliability & Operations Support Respond to equipment failures and emergency maintenance requests Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and reliability improvement projects Support predictive maintenance programs using testing and diagnostic tools Help ensure equipment availability and operational performance targets are met Safety & Compliance Follow all site safety procedures, policies, and permit-to-work requirements Participate in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and energized work procedures Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and project-specific standards Participate in safety meetings, audits, and inspections Identify and report hazards and recommend corrective measures
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Associate degree, technical diploma, or apprenticeship in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance, construction, commissioning, or operations Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings Experience with calibration and testing equipment Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems Understanding of industrial safety requirements and maintenance practices Experience in data centers, manufacturing facilities, power generation, energy, chemical, oil & gas, or large infrastructure projects Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or similar automation platforms Knowledge of SCADA, DCS, VFDs, and networked control systems Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and documentation skills How to apply - Please click on the relevant links attaching your current resume for immediate consideration.
