Job Description

Bring your building automation experience to commercial construction and retrofit projects throughout the San Antonio, TX area. This BAS Commissioning Technician position is responsible for bringing HVAC control systems online, confirming proper operation, and resolving technical issues through final customer acceptance.
Qualifications and responsibilities include:
At least three years of experience installing, starting up, troubleshooting, or commissioning commercial BAS controls. Experience with Carrier i-Vu, Niagara, Metasys, or a comparable building automation platform. Configure controllers, devices, networks, and system communications. Perform point-to-point verification, sensor calibration, equipment checkout, and functional testing. Review and adjust control programming and sequences of operation. Troubleshoot controller, communication, programming, and HVAC equipment issues. Integrate controls with commercial HVAC equipment such as air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, pumps, VFDs, and terminal units. Experience with BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, or similar communication protocols. Coordinate field activities with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades. Complete commissioning records, startup reports, as-built documentation, and punch-list items. Work primarily onsite at commercial project locations throughout the region.
Compensation:
$30-$40 per hour, with flexibility based on experience.
