Part-Time Dental Assisting Instructors - Lead Instructor & Co-Instructor American Institute of Dental Assisting (AIDA) - Phoenix Campus Are you an experienced dental assistant who loves dentistry, enjoys working with people, and wants to help prepare the next generation of dental assistants? American Institute of Dental Assisting is looking for two part-time instructors to join our Phoenix campus team. These are Saturday-only positions working directly with students in our dental assisting program.
We are hiring for:
Lead Instructor - Part-Time, Saturdays The Lead Instructor is responsible for leading the classroom experience and ensuring students stay on track academically, clinically, and professionally.Responsibilities include:
Teach lecture and portions of the hands-on curriculum Demonstrate and supervise dental assisting skills Create an engaging, positive, and safe learning environment Take attendance and complete required classroom paperwork Administer tests and monitor student progress Hold students accountable for attendance, assignments, classroom expectations, and clinical requirements Follow AIDA curriculum, lesson plans, policies, and procedures Work closely with the Co-Instructor to provide a consistent learning experience Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to students Communicate effectively with students and fellow staff members Help ensure the classroom and clinical environment is organized, professional, and ready for learning Co-Instructor - Part-Time, Saturdays The Co-Instructor works alongside the Lead Instructor and focuses primarily on the hands-on clinical portion of the program.Responsibilities include:
Teach and demonstrate hands-on dental assisting skills Work one-on-one and in small groups with students Supervise students as they perform clinical procedures Reinforce concepts taught by the Lead Instructor Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment Encourage students and provide constructive feedback Help students build confidence and competence in their clinical skills Follow AIDA curriculum, lesson plans, policies, and procedures Work collaboratively with the Lead Instructor and other staff Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environmentWhat We're Looking For Required:
Dental assisting certificate Minimum 5 years of general dental assisting experience Current RHS certification Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work Saturdays consistently Professional, dependable, positive attitude Ability to work effectively as part of a teamPreferred:
Dental assisting teaching or training experience Dentrix experience Experience mentoring or training new dental assistants Experience working in a busy dental office Teaching experience is a plus, but it is NOT required.
