In this role, you will be responsible for ordering framing materials, crafting high-quality custom frames that enhance and protect artwork, photographs, and memorabilia. Your expertise in carpentry, fabrication, and finishing techniques will ensure each piece meets precise specifications and exceeds customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine craftsmanship with artistic expression in a vibrant, customer-focused environment. Duties Measure and interpret client specifications, artwork dimensions, and framing requirements Select appropriate materials such as wood, metal, glass, matting, and backing for custom framing projects Cut, assemble, and finish frames using hand tools and power tools with precision and attention to detail Install artwork securely within frames, ensuring proper alignment and presentation Perform finishing tasks including caulking, glazing, sealing, and surface polishing to achieve a professional look Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting and tool operation Skills Custom framing experience needed Experience working with original artwork Skilled in the use of hand tools Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky materials Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast paced environment and switch tasks to meet deadlines as needed Reliable and organized Experience with mat cutting, fitting, mounting and assembling frames This role is perfect for someone passionate about craftsmanship who enjoys working on custom projects and highlighting original artwork.
