About the Role Cre8sArt School in Westwood, NJ is seeking a motivated and creative Pottery Instructor to lead hands-on ceramics classes in a welcoming and inspiring studio setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with clay, guiding students through the creative process, and building confidence at the wheel and worktable. You will support students at various stages of their artistic journey, from first-time potters to those continuing to develop their skills. While this position is primarily based in Westwood, instructors may also be asked to teach occasional classes at our Fort Lee and Glen Rock locations based on scheduling needs. Responsibilities Teach pottery classes focused on hand-building, wheel-throwing, glazing, and basic kiln processes Guide students through projects while encouraging individual expression Prepare and maintain studio materials, pottery wheels, tools, and kilns Maintain a clean, safe, and organized ceramics studio Demonstrate proper techniques and studio safety procedures Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of different ages and experience levels Travel to our Fort Lee and Glen Rock locations when needed to provide instruction Schedule & Compensation Part-time $25 per hour Approximately 3-6 hours per week Location Primarily in person at Cre8sArt School, Westwood, NJ Occasional teaching assignments at our Fort Lee and Glen Rock locations may be required Ideal Candidate Experience working with clay and ceramics Comfortable teaching students of varying ages and skill levels Dependable, organized, and professional Reliable transportation to travel between studio locations when needed Passionate about art education and hands-on learning
