Job Description

Manual Prototype Machinist/Scientific Instrument Maker Manual Machinist needed Central Houston! Well known university in Houston seeking Manual Machinist to support Research team. You'll be able to work year- round/40 hour work week and help prototype some amazing items.
Position requires:
A manual machinist with 5+ years of experience. This will be fabrication work, repairs and rebuilds. Knowledge of blueprints, schematics and drawing will be expected Basic shop math is required (right triangle). Machinist must have own machinist tools. AC shop environment Temp to hire position, excellent benefits once hired First shift position, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm Pay will range from $25-32 Depending on experience Proficient with shop math Bridgeport mill Saws/grinding Skillful working with brass, aluminum, copper, plastics, etc High School Diploma/Trade School Certificate a plus
