Pay:
$27-$34 per hour, based on experience Theme Shop Sculptor Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Theme Shop Sculptor at our Wisconsin Dells property. In this role, you will create traditional figure sculptures as well as character sculptures to be used throughout Kalahari Resort's properties. As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari. Key Responsibilities Participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily. Sculpt both cartoon and realistic elements. Sculpt object according to plans and specifications Large and small-scale sculpting Translating a 2-D concept into a 3-D piece Working with variety of mediums- clay, silicon, rubber, epoxy, foam, carving, etc. Collaborate with other artists and craftsmen to complete projects Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed Carry out cost and quantity estimates of raw materials required for a finishing project Select choice materials needed Implement safety and health regulations during work operations to ensure environmentally friendly and safe structure What We're Looking For Proven experience as a sculptor is required. Experience in "finishing" adding fur, feathers, paint, and other details to a cast sculpture preferred. Trade school and/or related field certificates are helpful but not required. A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
