Solder Assembler

  Solderer/Electronics Assembler - Day and Night shifts available
• Job Description
• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.

Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

• Responsibilities
• + Ability to perform SMT and/or PTH soldering of Printed Circuit Boards.

Experienced in SMT and PTH rework and touch-up of PCB. Need skills in component bond, component assembly and hardware assembly. + Ability to operate machinery utilized in the PCB area such as the Wave solderer, CS-400, pinning machine and solder fountain + Ability to learn the use of bench top equipment, test equipment, hands tools and computersConduct soldering and desoldering of fine-pitch

• Essential Skills
• + At least 5 years of experience in a similar PCB assembly, rework, or repair role. + Two (2) Years prior experience in Production and/or Manufacturing. Experience in the Manufacturing of Aircraft Instruments or Electronics desired. + IPC-610 certification preferred
• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience with production assembly in a high-reliability or defense-related environment.

+ Background in mechanical assembly in addition to electronic assembly. + Experience with crimping, hand assembly, and cable or harness assembly. + Familiarity with rework and touch-up processes for complex PCB assemblies. + Knowledge of terms and practices related to ball grid array (BGA) packaging and rework. + Comfort working with microscopes and precision inspection tools. + Ability to follow detailed written and visual work instructions consistently. + Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and correcting PCB defects. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a structured production environment.

• Work Environment
• The role is based in a large, highly regulated manufacturing facility in Oldsmar, Florida.

The environment is climate controlled and air conditioned, providing a comfortable and consistent workspace. Workstations are well spaced out, and each employee has their own designated work area to support focus and organization. The facility uses state-of-the-art equipment for electronic assembly, rework, and inspection, including microscopes and specialized rework tools for BGA and fine-pitch components. Safety is a core priority, with established procedures and oversight to ensure a safe and compliant operation. The position follows a four-day workweek schedule: first shift runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Fridays scheduled off, and second shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. with Fridays scheduled off. Dress expectations align with a professional manufacturing environment and the use of appropriate safety and protective gear as required by site policies.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
