The Electrical & Electronic Equipment Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure all products meet engineering specifications and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions. Assemble electrical and electronic parts, such as circuit boards, control panels, wiring harnesses, and enclosures. Solder, crimp, and connect wires and components according to established procedures. Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely and accurately. Inspect and test completed assemblies for functionality and quality using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes). Identify and report defects or nonconforming materials to supervisors or quality control. Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety guidelines. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly or design issues. Complete documentation and production reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or electrical technology preferred.
Experience:
13 years of experience in electrical or electronic assembly, manufacturing, or related field.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and schematics.o Basic soldering and wiring skills.o Familiarity with electrical testing tools and safety procedures.
Soft Skills:
o Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.o Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.o Good communication and teamwork skills.o Commitment to quality and safety.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing or assembly environment. May require standing for long periods, lifting components up to [X lbs], and using hand tools. Exposure to moderate noise, solder fumes, or small electrical currents (with appropriate PPE).
