Job Title:
Assembler Printed Circuit Board Technology (All Shifts) Job Description This role involves assembling and loading materials for printed circuit board technology, including basic setup and operation of automated solder machines. You will work with through-hole pin connectors, follow detailed prints and work instructions, and ensure all assemblies meet established quality standards. Responsibilities Perform basic assembly of printed circuit board components, including through-hole pin connectors, in accordance with work instructions and quality standards. Load materials into machines and support basic machine operations for printed circuit board manufacturing. Set up and operate automated solder machines, ensuring they run within defined parameters and produce consistent, high-quality results. Use computers to configure, monitor, and operate automated equipment as part of the production process. Read, recognize, and interpret customer and internal prints, work instructions (WIs), visual aids (VAs), and bills of materials to complete assemblies correctly. Apply enhanced IPC inspection knowledge to verify correct part placement, solder quality for reflow and through-hole components, and identify printed circuit board or component damage. Perform final assembly inspection, including both leaded and lead-free (PB and PB-free) printed circuit assembly handling, to ensure compliance with quality requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety and quality procedures. Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive production and assembly tasks. Complete other duties as assigned to support production goals and team needs. Essential Skills Ability to perform basic assembly tasks with through-hole pin connectors. Ability to set up and operate automated solder machines at a basic level. Basic computer literacy and ability to use computers to operate automated equipment. Ability to read and interpret customer and internal prints, work instructions (WIs), visual aids (VAs), and bills of materials. Knowledge of IPC inspection practices related to part placement, solder inspection for reflow and through-hole, printed circuit board and component damage, and final assembly inspection. Understanding and proper handling of both PB and PB-free printed circuit assemblies. High school diploma or GED. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours continuously. Strong computer skills and knowledge to support production and equipment operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing or production environments is preferred. General labor experience is beneficial but not required for entry-level candidates. Comfort working with electronic components and circuit boards. The environment supports three shifts:
1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), and requires the ability to stand for up to 10 hours at a time. The dress code is casual, provided clothing is not loose or offensive, to maintain safety and professionalism on the production floor. The facility is centrally located with bus lines running nearby, offering convenient access to public transportation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50
50/hr.
