Hughey & Phillips, a client of Brixey and Meyer, is seeking an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to join their team! Full-time | 1st Shift | Flexible Schedule | Onsite | Limited Travel Join Us as an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician (Airfield Lighting Systems)! If you enjoy hands-on electrical work and want to grow into a true troubleshooting role, this is a great path. You'll start by building and testing constant current regulators used in airfield lighting systems , then progress into deeper technical validation and service-level problem solving as your training ramps up. Your work directly supports safe, reliable runway and taxiway lighting—where precision and safety matter.
Your Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician , you will: Assemble constant current regulators and related components with a strong focus on accuracy, workmanship, and safety Learn the full system —how the product functions, how assemblies fit together, and why build precision is critical in airfield applications Set up and run test cycles by connecting completed units, powering up, and verifying performance against required checks Perform HIPOT testing and follow established high-voltage safety procedures during validation activities Document test results and support basic production paperwork (printing, labeling, and recordkeeping as needed) Troubleshoot and assist with maintenance as you progress through training—moving from "builder" to technician over time Collaborate closely with a small, experienced team in a hands-on manufacturing environment Occasionally join field service exposure visits to observe real-world customer installations and learn how equipment performs in the fieldYour Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you need:Education:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent hands-on electrical training/experienceExperience:
Demonstrated electrical background working with equipment/systems (non-construction focus) Technical skills: Comfort working hands-on with low/medium/high voltage equipment; ability to learn and use HIPOT testing, multimeters, and oscilloscopes; basic computer skills for documentation Soft skills/behaviors: Self-starter mentality, strong attention to detail, steady hands-on work habits, and clear communication with teammates and occasional customers Other requirements: Must be local (no relocation); willing to travel occasionally for limited field service exposure; able to work safely around high-voltage environments (procedures provided)Why You Should Join Us:
Structured training that sets you up to succeed: You'll get guided onboarding and training—starting in assembly, then moving into testing and troubleshooting as your skills grow Specialized, niche technical work: Constant current regulators and series lighting are unique—this role builds expertise that's hard to find (and valued long-term) Predictable schedule + work-life balance: Weekday, daytime hours with minimal overtime and little to no weekend work Real growth runway: This position is built around a proven development path—modeled after a highly successful current team member—and is designed for long-term progressionBenefits & Perks:
