Temperature Control Assembler Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and outgoing Electronics Assembler to join our Temperature Control Systems Department. Responsibilities Assemble electronic subassemblies according to engineering specifications and work instructions. Perform detailed inspections and testing of assembled components to ensure quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality protocols. Document assembly processes and test results accurately in company systems. Assist in the continuous improvement of assembly procedures and workflows. Essential Skills Proven experience in electronic assembly, preferably within aerospace or related industries. Strong understanding of electronic components, wiring, and soldering techniques. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training. Proficiency in using wire strippers, crimping tools, and soldering irons. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to read and understand technical drawings (blueprints). Ability to perform repetitive assembly operations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in using basic file systems to navigate to and open drawings and manufacturing procedures. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position involves exposure to projects and contracts subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible for employment. The work environment requires regular sitting; using hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plainview, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
