OMAX Waterjet Assemblers Our Kent, WA location at OMAX is currently recruiting full-time Electro-Mechanical Assemblers. Join our team today! Assemblers work (4) 10 hour day work schedules on either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday from 5:00am - 3:30pm based on business demand.
Starting hourly rate:
$25/hour, variance is based on experience As an OMAX Waterjet Assembler, you will work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks using standard processes, documentation, systems, and tools to assemble our world class Waterjet systems and subassemblies using manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment. In this role, you will: O perate power tools and manufacturing equipment to assemble components Select, measure, and align parts or subassemblies for production Perform quality checks and functional tests to identify defects or inconsistencies Record production data, inventory counts, and test results in manufacturing logs or software Troubleshoot assembly issues and report malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors Maintain and calibrate assembly tools and equipment Occasionally interpret bills of materials and read basic blueprints and schematics following written procedures for electrical components Complete assigned tasks with little supervision
Qualifications:
Minimum education required is a HS Diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age or older Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to read instructions and use a tablet to navigate a material selection and pick parts needed for assembly Experience working with hand and power tools Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to learn new processes Commitment to safety, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement Relevant experience could also include automotive, small engine, or equipment repair; HVAC, electrical, construction, or industrial maintenance experience; military technical occupations; construction trades; CNC, machining, fabrication, or welding environments
Preferred Experience:
Vocational or accredited certification within the electro-mechanical field Experience with and exposure to 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement principles Experience working on large mechanical components Some electrical assembly experience, including experience with Ohm/volt meters and measuring devices such as calipers and dial indicators , the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics , and attention to detail and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
Physical Demands:
Ability to work with required PPE Ability to lift up to 50lbs Stand and walk for periods up to 10 hours Control handheld torque and impact tools Requires manual dexterity and repetitive motion activities Why Hypertherm Associates?
