With operations across Europe and North America, we are on an ambitious growth journey. We're looking for an Electrical Assembler to join our team! This role will specialize in the mechanical components of assembling our telescopic conveyors. The schedule for this opening is 6am-2:30pm Monday through Friday. About this Position We are searching for experienced Electrical Assemblers who would be responsible for the assembly of telescopic conveyer sections and equipment in accordance with set processes and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Assembles conveyor sections and sub-assemblies per shop order, blueprints and schedule, making sure to follow pre-set processes and quality standards Utilizes hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers and clamps Operates power tools such as battery powered drills, saws, sanders, and grinders Operates overhead cranes and forklifts Uses measuring equipment frequently such as tape measures, torque wrenches, calipers, and levels Performs spot inspections throughout assembly process and final quality testing to ensure product is assembled properly and to the highest standard Troubleshoots and tracks project status Identifies and communicates any safety or quality issues with lead or immediate supervisor Maintains clean and safe work area, utilizing 5S practices whenever possible Assists shipping department with crating and loading of conveyors Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of one year of electrical assembly experience in an industrial environment Basic computer skills Forklift and crane experience preferred Skills and Abilities for this position Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings and/or specifications and electrical schematics Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, caliper and level Knowledge of numbers and dimensions Proficient with the use of hand and power tools Ability to work as a member of a team and/or independently Quality and safety conscious Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift Comply with all company policies and safety guidelines Must be able to work overtime as needed Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels within the organization Ability to problem solve About Us Why join Caljan?
