In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of manufacturing processes, supporting the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment. Your hands-on involvement will ensure smooth workflow, adherence to safety standards, and high-quality output. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in metal fabrication, machining, and assembly within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Assist with the operation of CNC machines including laser cutting, milling, lathe work, and plasma cutting to produce precise metal components. Support machine setup and tooling adjustments for CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and forming machines. Help with material handling using forklifts and other hand tools to load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products safely. Perform basic measurements using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Follow safety protocols rigorously during all machine operations and material handling activities to maintain a safe work environment. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to assist in assembly and fabrication tasks accurately. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly. Requirements Prior experience or training in manufacturing or metal fabrication is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of shop math, measurement techniques, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Ability to operate hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic machining equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with CNC machinery such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC mills/lathes, or stamping presses is a plus. Mechanical knowledge including understanding of forming machines, welding processes, and safety standards in production environments. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for quality inspection and measurement accuracy. Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining a proactive approach to teamwork and safety compliance.
