Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and troubleshooting custom machinery and automated equipment according to engineering drawings and technical specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards throughout the assembly process. Essential Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. Assemble machinery, equipment, and mechanical components according to engineering specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, saws, and other assembly equipment safely and efficiently. Align, fit, and secure mechanical components to ensure proper functionality. Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to verify accuracy and workmanship. Install assembled machinery and production equipment at designated workstations. Connect equipment to electrical power, pneumatic systems, control systems, and other required utilities. Test completed equipment to verify proper operation and performance before release. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and basic electrical issues during assembly and testing. Perform equipment adjustments, modifications, and repairs as necessary. Follow all workplace safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with engineering, production, and manufacturing teams to meet production schedules. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve assembly processes. Assist other departments and team members as needed to achieve daily production goals. Complete additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, or Industrial Equipment Assembler in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Strong understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and installation procedures. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Willingness to work overtime when required.
