Job Description
Assembler/Machine Operator Job Description This role focuses on precision, quality, and productivity in a unionized manufacturing environment, supporting the production of high-quality, custom-fit apparel for military, law enforcement, emergency services, and government organizations. Operators work to meet established performance standards and participate in ongoing training and skill development, with compensation based on a piece-rate system tied to individual productivity. Responsibilities Operate high-speed industrial machines to assemble tailored garments and uniform apparel according to specifications and quality standards. Perform manual tasks involved in the final detailing and finishing of garments to ensure a professional, custom-fit appearance. Follow established production processes to achieve consistent quality and meet productivity targets in a unionized manufacturing environment. Work with precision and attention to detail to maintain high standards of craftsmanship for garments used by military, law enforcement, emergency services, and government roles. Work Environment The position is based in a manufacturing setting with designated workstations designed for industrial sewing operations. The environment can vary between hot and cold conditions depending on the season and facility operations, so employees should be comfortable working in changing temperatures. Work is performed on a first-shift schedule, providing daytime hours. The role involves standing or sitting at a sewing workstation, operating industrial equipment, and using hand tools in a busy production environment where safety, cleanliness, and organization are emphasized. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Hodgenville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
