Duties Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production documents to accurately assemble mechanical components. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to verify dimensions and ensure assembly accuracy. Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment to assemble parts according to technical specifications. Conduct mechanical assembly tasks including soldering, machining, and the use of mechanical blueprint interpretation techniques. Perform manual handling of parts and assemblies safely while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. Utilize shop math and interpret technical drawings to troubleshoot issues during assembly processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are consistently followed throughout all tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings related to mechanical systems. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment used in assembly work. Ability to perform shop math calculations accurately for measurements and component fitting. Experience with soldering, machining, or other manufacturing techniques is a plus. Strong manual dexterity with the ability to handle small parts and perform detailed work efficiently. Knowledge of safety procedures including proper PPE use during all assembly activities.
